Tradies and builders
You're not paid to sit in a queue. Quick off-loading gets you in and out, so a stop on the way back to the yard costs you minutes, not an afternoon.
What comes off a typical job
Sparkies bring copper cable offcuts, conduit, switchboards, cable drums and stripped wire. Plumbers bring copper pipe and fittings, brass tapware, hot water systems, and stainless. Roofers and builders bring colorbond offcuts, gutters, flashings, reo, purlins, mesh and structural drops.
None of it is worth much sitting on the back of the ute. All of it is worth something across the weighbridge.
Strip your cable, or don't
Stripped copper grades higher than insulated cable, and if you have the volume and a stripping machine, it's worth doing. If you don't, bring it as it is. We'll grade it as insulated and you'll still be paid for it. Burning cable is illegal, dangerous and grades the copper down anyway.
Bins on site
On a longer job, a dedicated metal bin next to the general waste bin changes the economics. Metal stops going to landfill at a cost per tonne and starts coming back to you as a credit, and your site tidiness improves at the same time.
We deliver, swap and collect around your program. Tell us the site access and we'll match the bin to it.
